Who we are
This website has been created by Diana Fox Carney with input from Bernice Lee and research support from Frances Grace Fyfe.
Between us we have been thinking about policies around carbon emissions for many decades. We are not scientists and we do not have investments in any of the technologies mentioned in this website.
Diana Fox Carney is a senior adviser at Eurasia Group. She is also an independent climate adviser working with both corporations and investment funds.
She previously worked in think tanks on climate and energy issues in both Canada and the UK. She started her working life in agricultural development in Africa and then on overseas development policy, but moved on from this when it became apparent to her that the single most beneficial thing that more developed countries could do for less developed countries was to get their climate house in order.
More recently she was Executive Director at Pi Capital where she convened conversations around the most pressing issues of our time.
She is a current and past trustee of several climate focused NGOs and foundations.
Bernice Lee is Executive Director of the Hoffmann Centre for Sustainable Resource Economy at Chatham House. She is a member of the Global Resource Initiative Task Force, the UK Climate Change Committee's International Advisory Group and the Energy Foundation China Board.
Throughout her career, she has convened and advised networks of influencers and thinkers around sustainability and climate. She was director of climate change at the World Economic Forum and Team Leader of the EU–China Interdependencies on Energy and Climate Security Project. She has also held positions at the UN Secretary-General’s office and the Rockefeller Foundation and served on CIFF’s Climate Change Advisory Board and Shell’s External Review Committee.
Bernice was awarded an OBE for services to UK–China climate change cooperation in 2011.
